My Five Favorite Reds
To be in the list, I had to watch them play, so basically the last 10 years, any player counts.
5.Jay Bruce
I know it may be a little early to put him on the list, but so far he has been pretty awesome to watch. I followed him up from when he was hitting like crazy at AAA-Louisville, and then one of the most famous opening week and a half as a rookie, when he batted .432 with 3 home runs, and 7 RBIs in his first ten games.
4.Adam Dunn
He could be one the other side of this, as one of the five most hated Reds. But the game winning shots he’s had in the past put him on the list. Watching the GW shots against the Indians made him one of my favorites. I still have the radio call of his shot against the Tribe when we came back from down 8-1 in the 8th inning to win on his grand slam.
3.Sean Casey
Another ex-Red, I enjoyed when he played for us from 1998-2005. He was never a complainer, and always got the job done on a day to day basis. As a Red, he made his only 3 All-Star appearances in 1999, 2001, and 2004.
2.Barry Larkin
The best shortstop for the Reds ever, and in my mind, the best shortstop to ever play the game of baseball. Better than Ozzie, and Vizquel. He was nearly a career .300 batter, and was 1995 NL MVP. Oh yeah, he was a part of the 1990 WS champion team that stunned the world by sweeping the Oakland As.
1.Ken Griffey Jr.
I mean, come on, I would be crazy not to put him at number one. I’m sad we traded him, he is the main reason I really became a Reds fan at my young age. I’ll never forget going into the backyard, and imitating the famous upright batting stance.Watching him hit number 500, and 600 was truly a special treat. I was at the game after he hit number 600, and was a part of the standing ovation for him. Thinking about it just gives me chills. I’m gonna miss him.

Honorable Mention:
- Danny Graves- Reds all-time saves leader at 182.
- Pokey Reese- Speedster on the paths, was fun to watch steal some bases.
- Ryan Freel-He gave us lots and lots of energy, all the time.

You forgot to metion Johnny Bench, Ken Griffey Sr., George Foster, Pete Rose, Tom Browning, Jack Armstrong…. and thats just to name a few. I want too see some sort of proof that would help me belive that Bruce, Dunn, Casey and Jr. are better then any of the names I just listed.
