Wow, I can’t believe what just happened on ESPN. A somewhat home town team, the Miami-Ohio Redhawks, just lost a total heartbreaker to Boston University, 4-3 in overtime. We got off our plane, and the Redhawks had a 3-1 lead in the third period. Sounds like they had it won, but Read the rest of this entry »

Having A Lot Of Aden"hart"

I didn’t get a chance to watch the tribute to Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart live, but I did see it on ESPN this morning. This reminds me of another situation of a player dying in the middle of a season, Darryl Kile. In this situation, they had the dirt behind the mound in the number “34″, and had the patches in the jersey. Torii Hunter went Read the rest of this entry »

I want to pass on my thoughts and prayers to the family of Nick Adenhart, the player who was killed in a car crash late last night. I hate to see something like this, especially by a drunk driver who attempted to flee the scene, but was caught shortly after.  It’s a sad thing for any family and team to go through. I certainly hope that this sort of thing doesn’t derail a clubhouse, that would make things worse. “It is a tragedy that will never be forgotten,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia said at an Angel Stadium news conference. But, first, let’s think about the family, and how they will move on from this.

The Angels have postponed tonight’s game against the A’s for tonight.

How sweet it is! The Blue Jackets clinched a playoff spot last night, by just making it to overtime against the Blackhawks, and eventually they won in the shootout to seal it up, 4-3. I watched it last night on a nice little site that I Googled before the game, and found that I could watch the game live and free. This is the site that redirected me to it: Read the rest of this entry »

Tuesday night was my first Columbus Blue Jackets game, a crucial playoff-type game in which they beat the Predators 2-1. The game itself was awesome, and it was the first hockey game I’d seen in person since the old Columbus Chill in the early to mid 90s. I like hockey alot, and not just being a Read the rest of this entry »
