App Review:MLB At Bat 2009
This new installment of my iPod app reviews has a baseball theme to it for the beginning of the year. Priced at 9.99, this is one of the more expensive apps, but is well worth it if you are away from home (like me), and want to listen to your favorite team. If you have the Touch, you can get a WiFi connection and listen to the games, or if you have a iPhone you can get it off your 3G connection. Some of its features include:
- Scoreboard- Daily look at the scores, and interactive up to the minute in game box scores. Really quick updating scores I might add.
- Videos- As a game is going on, you may get to see some of the top plays that previously occured, whether it be a home run or great play.
- Radio- This is the main reason I bought this, because sometimes my radio doesn’t work that well, and I don’t wanna shell out 15 bucks to buy the package on MLB.com that has the radio. The only problem is the clarity of the radio is not that great, but it still works very very well.
Summary: I think this is a must have for any baseball fan traveling on the road with an iPhone, it certainly beats spending 15 bucks on the service at MLB.com. They are both ran by MLB, but this one is by far the better deal.
Overall: 8/10
