Roethlisberger Flagged For Sexual Assualt
Two days after tying for 30th in the American Celebrity Golf Challenge, Ben Roethlisberger was accused of sexually assulting an employee of Harrah’s Lake Tahoe hotel in Nevada last July. Also, the suit shows that eight employees helped cover the situation up. David Cornwell, Roethlisberger’s attorney made this statement today, saying that “Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone.” He goes on to say that, “If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated.”

In one of the best games of the season last night, the Athletics (39-52) came back from a 12-2 deficit in the third inning to win 14-13. The Twins (47-46) had built up the lead on the long ball. Home runs by Morneau, Kubel, and Cuddyer built the lead up to ten runs. Morneau had 7 RBIs in his first 2 official at bats, walking on his first plate appearance in the first inning. The game seemed to be in lock for the Twins, the only other time they had blown a 10-run lead was September 28th, 1984, at Cleveland. It surely wasn’t gonna happen again…

Clippers Gain Three In Deal With Wolves

In one of the first major trades of the NBA summer, the Minnesota Timberwolves traded away Sebastian Telfair, and forwards Mark Madsen and Craig Smith, in return for the LA Clippers Quentin Richardson. The trade gives the ‘Wolves some cap room due to getting rid of Telfair’s 2.7 million dollar contract. Minnesota owner
