Fleer’s Top College Defensive Ends
A few years removed from Mario Williams being selected first overall in the NFL Draft over names such as Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Jay Cutler and Matt Lienart, the defensive end position is becoming one of the most important not only on defense but overall. Getting adequate pressure on the quarterback is essential in a changing game and there are a select few that excel at it. The modern defensive end is big, fast and athletic. Vernon Gholston is the perfect prototype, at 6’3″ 245 lbs and running a 4.5, the position is becoming one where the best athletes excel. To be a stellar defensive end, you must be strong, fast and able to have the athletic ability to get around the offensive line. These select group of young men showcase that ability and that leads to the number of sacks they put up and help the defense thrive. With such an intriguing position, don’t be surprised if the list goes over ten, enjoy!

Ortiz: No Scientist Needed

A week after David Ortiz’s positive test in 2003 was released, Ortiz decided to speak on the issue. Expected to give a testimony similar to Alex Rodriguez, Ortiz told the public, he has “no idea how I tested positive, I have never taken steroids.” Denial is a common theme with many steroid users and we will never know who is telling the truth.
Tiger Fined? Yes, That’s True
Mr. Number One in the golf world is going to be fined by the PGA Tour for his comments about a rules official following the Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday. Tiger said to runner up Padraig Harrington that he’s “sorry that John got in the way of a great battle.” The John he is referring to is European Tour chief referee
